February 2025 Branch Meeting Minutes
A quorum of members of Lone Star Branch 132 met on February 3, 2025
• Invocation by Brother Eugene Johnson followed with the pledge led by President Lewis
• Resolution of Sympathy for Sister Cyndi Jefferson were read.
• No Executive Board Recommendations.
• President Lewis announced the installation of officers and stewards took place January 11, 2025. The installation was performed by NBA Shawn Boyd. Guest in attendance were former Director of Life Insurance Myra Warren, State President Carlos Rodriguez, State Vice President Everett Wylie, Austin Branch President William Moody, NBA Office Assistant Dietra Young and National Vice President James Henry.
• The vote on the Tentative Agreement received 90,040 total ballots; the vote was 63,680 rejected and 26,304 accepted, approximately 50% of the members receiving ballots voted.
• NBA Spring Training will be February 14, 2025 in Spring, Texas.
• The 112th State Convention will be held July 28-30, 2025 in Austin, TX.
• The following members have been selected for committees at the convention: Audit Committee, Larry Ausborne; Rules and Resolutions, Kim Cox; Mileage and Per Diem, Joseph Johnson; Officers Report, Charles Cotton; Accommodation, Kinnard Johnson; Tellers, Rachel Anderson and Andy Alvarado; Distribution, Carolyn Wiley and Sorainya Harris. Alternates Selected, Clubber Targton and Edwin Cooper.
• The Annual Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive will be on May 10, 2025.
• The appeal of the Caesar Clark steward election was rejected by membership vote.
• Branch Financial reports will be in the next Metro Letter Carrier.

March 2025 Branch Meeting Minutes
A quorum of members of Lone Star Branch 132 met on March 3, 2025.
• Invocation by Brother Eugene Johnson followed with the pledge led by President Lewis.
• Resolutions of Sympathy were read for Brother George C. Bryant.
• No Executive Board Recommendations.
• Intire Health Group spoke to the membership about their services.
• The Retirees’ luncheon will be held on March 20, 2025, at Golden Corral Restaurant at 1:15 PM.
• The Fight Like Hell Rally will be held on March 23, 2025, at 1:00 PM.
• Bus trip to New Orleans is scheduled for June 26-28, 2025.
• TSALC convention will be July 28-30, 2025, in Austin, Texas.
• The Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive will be on May 10, 2025.
• Safety Teams are checking routes across the district looking for any violations.
• NBA Shawn Boyd spoke to the membership about several issues NALC dealing with the arbitration of the contract, the Fight Like Hell Rally and legislation now before Congress.
• Three motions were made, voted on and passed:
1. To name the meeting hall Hibbs Hall.
2. To reimburse any member working for the branch for AL or SL because of lost time.
3. To motion to the April meeting to April 14, 2025.
• Branch Financial reports will be in the next Metro Letter Carrier.
